Make Valentines for Political Prisoners

Each year we gather together to make Valentines for US political prisoners. This is a great way to celebrate Valentines Day- sending love to folks who've been in prison for years due to their political involvement. We need to make sure they know we haven't forgotten them!

Folks we send cards to are from the Black panthers, Black liberation movement, MOVE, Puerto Rican independence movement, eco-activists, and other anti-imperialist activists.

Bring some art supplies if you have them, but remember we can't use stickers and glitter due to prison regulations. Sometimes even cards with glue are returned. There will also be supplies provided.

All artsy and non-artsy folks are invited. All ages encouraged to come! We will have on hand the letters, cards, and notes from the prisoners who wrote back from past Valentines events. It means a lot to them that we've been sending them cards for the past nine years...let's not stop now!
